Dettah is located just outside Yellowknife on the Northern shore of Great Slave Lake. Dettah which means “Burnt Point” in the Weledeh language, is represented by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation who are one of the main groups of indigenous peoples who live in the Northwest Territories.
