Camp Connections – Cookhouse Facility

Project: Camp Connections Cookhouse
Location: Cameron River, Northwest Territories

Scope of Work: Erect Cookhouse including minor ground work, all framing, all decks, spray foam insulation, vapour barriers, installation of exterior doors and windows and supplied cabinets.

Kasteel was contracted by the Foster Family Coalition to replace the Cookhouse Facility for their summer camp located near the Cameron River, outside of Yellowknife. Camp Connections is an on the land adventure based camp for children ages 7-18 who are currently or have been involved with Social Services. The camp was started in 2003 and has remained one of the Foster Family Coalition – NWT’s biggest projects to date. Hundreds of kids benefit from the life skills, knowledge, artistic and athletic opportunities provided by Camp Connections.

Kasteel provided the Foster Family Coalition with a Charitable Donation in the amount of $10,000 for this job.
